Children and Family Services
Shropshire's Children and Family Services has a focus on prevention and well-being, through the offer of advice, support and assistance.
If you have a child, or you are a young person, aged 0-25 years old with a special educational need or disability, or you are their parent/carer, then the Local Offer can provide you with information and support relating to your needs.
You can find information about health, education, and social care; including how to ask for extra help to improve a child or young person’s experiences in life. This can include how to ask for a social care assessment, EHCP assessment, or how a personal budget might work for your family.
A range of information is available from a variety of groups and organisations which could help your family access funding for specialist equipment, therapy and care.
There may be times when you feel you may need some extra help and support to be able to manage challenges which many parents face. In Shropshire we give parents the support and guidance they need to meet the needs of their children, by offering parents early solutions to challenges which may arise.
Information on strengthening families through early help is available below as well as two on-line service directories providing information on available services across Shropshire.
